Services
As one of the few locally owned and operated home medical equipment businesses in the Charleston area, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality products and the best customer service. If your recovery or treatment requires any kind of medical equipment, PHC is prepared to meet all of your needs.

Our experienced and knowledgeable Patient Representatives utilize their expertise to assist patients and referral sources in selecting the proper home medical equipment and supplies based on patient need, diagnosis and reimbursement coverage.

We work with physicians and discharge planners to ensure continuity of care and a safe and effective transition to the home for our patients.

Billing
We verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations when required and we communicate financial responsibility to the patient. We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most other insurances. For more information, please contact one of our Patient Representatives.

We also accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Delivery
PHC can deliver any product to your home. Our qualified technicians provide instruction and training for our patients and their caregivers.

Product Orientation
Our staff of Patient Representatives, Delivery Technicians, Respiratory Therapists and Rehab Specialists train patients and their family members of the operation, maintenance and safety of equipment.

Respiratory Services
Our Certified Respiratory Therapists are fully trained on state-of-the-art respiratory equipment. All respiratory patients are assessed by our respiratory therapists who develop individualized care plans for each patient based on physician and patient needs.

Custom Wheelchairs
As a special service to the Charleston area, we provide custom mobility equipment that will meet the long-term needs of the patient. Our team of Rehab Specialists:

  • Develops specific equipment recommendations based on the individual diagnosis of each patient, their lifestyle and physical therapists assessment.
  • Works with the patient's physician to obtain proper medical documentation.
  • Delivers the equipment, adjusts it for optimum fit and trains each patient and their caregivers on the proper use of the equipment.

Specialists are available for maintenance and repairs on mobility equipment purchased from PHC.
